The Island Blush flagship boutique was established in 2010 on St. Maarten. The exclusive shop offers resort wear and accessories, gift items, cosmetics, natural hair and body products.

In 2013, the boutique expanded and the Blush Beauty Bar was created, which was an immediate hit with local clientele and tourists, offering them certified beauty therapists and nail technicians. Island Blush opened its first pop up shop in St. Barth.

Giovanella de Weever, a native of St. Maarten and CEO of Island Blush, has vivid childhood memories in St. Barth. Many weekends were spent with her grandfather, Felix Choisy, at his Gustavia family home engaging in make-believe and dress up. Always interested in lipstick and nail polish, Giovanella would playfully ask her grandfather if she could paint her nails. Adding to the imaginative play, Giovanella’s grandfather would pick clammy cherry fruit from the backyard garden to carefully coat her nails with its juice, which left a high-shine polished look when dry. Years later, this beautiful memory inspired Island Blush to create a healthy, eco-friendly luxury nail lacquer.
